  • Pelican Township is a township located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota.

Population:

  • As of the 2010 census, the township had a total population of 484, UP 21% since 2000 and number of households estimate: 210, UP 24%.
  • The 2000 census reported a population of 400 and 169 households.

Geography:

  • According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 50.1 km² (19.4 mi²). 20.6 km² (8.0 mi²) of it is land and 29.5 km² (11.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 58.88% water.

  • The population density is 19.4/km² (50.2/mi²).
  • There are 464 housing units at an average density of 22.5/km² (58.3/mi²).
  • The racial makeup of the township is 99.50% White, 0.25% African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.75% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
